OmniCable announced it is now authorized to sell Eaton and Schneider Electric (Square D) circuit breakers to all electrical distributors in the United States. In addition, effective June 2019, OmniCable will be authorized to sell Siemens circuit breakers to all electrical distributors.
The agreements with Eaton, Schneider Electric, and now Siemens, position OmniCable as an authorized source for electrical distributors to purchase genuine Eaton, Square D, and Siemens circuit breakers reducing the chance of distributors seeking products from unauthorized sources.
“OmniCable is proud to have the opportunity to participate in such a unique program. Being recommended by the manufacturers’ customer advisory council reinforces the trust the customers have in OmniCable and gives us the confidence to launch this program nationally,” said Greg Donato, COO, OmniCable.
The program launched as a pilot in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic states back in 2017 offering only Eaton and Square D breakers. OmniCable recently signed an agreement with Siemens to add their circuit breaker products to OmniCable’s product offering.
“Having the support of Eaton and Square D to execute a pilot program for two years helped us to understand the challenges and needs of customers with sourcing off-brand replacement breakers. Adding Siemens to the program brings even more creditability to our overall goal of providing all electrical distributors across the country with safe, reliable, and traceable factory-direct circuit breakers,” said Donato.
“This initiative represents a milestone in our ongoing effort to help ensure the use of safe, authentic electrical products,” said Matt Cleary, Vice President, Channel, Eaton. “It’s an important step in making it easier for distributors to mitigate the risks of counterfeit and suspect products for our customers. Our goal is that, through our collective efforts, we will ultimately aid in stopping the proliferation of non-genuine electrical products.”
“Siemens is looking forward to our partnership with OmniCable which is focused on addressing the issues created by the gray market. Our partnership will lead to increased safety and reliability of the products installed in the field,” said Burke Hunsaker, Circuit Protection Business Director, Siemens.
“The Square D legacy of safety and reliability directly corresponds to our commitment of ensuring our products are authentic and warranted for superior performance,” adds Ralph Harris, Vice President, Channel Development, Schneider Electric. “The agreement between Schneider and OmniCable gives distributors an authorized way to purchase a safe, warranted Square D circuit breaker for their customers.”
